The Playwrights

Stephen Gardella:

"Muriel's Birthday," "Do You Take This Man?"
is a graduate of Boston University's School of Film and Television and theNeighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre.  The Nutshell Festival marks his New York debut as a playwright.  Before coming to New York Stephen was a semi-finalist for the Writer's Film Project Screenwriting Fellowship in Los Angeles.  A member of the Intern Company at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Stephen and four more of his short plays will appear January 8 - 11 in an upcoming and untitled play festival. He would like to everyone at Manhattan Theatre Source for this opportunity.

Guy Rader (Playwright, Play-Right):
"Your A Good Man, Chris Columbus"

Guy is a native of upstate New York...like you give a hoot.  Guy just returned from a tour with the National Theatre for Children, from which the inspiration for You're a Good Man, Chris Columbus came.  A recent graduate of Kent State University with an MFA in Acting, Guy narrowly escaped injury and possible death from the roving bands of rogue National Guardsmen that still roam the campus at random.  Guy is tickled pink to participate in the Nutshell Festival.  He extends many thanks to his family and friends for their support.
